Recipe for Minced Beef and Broccoli Noodles

This flavourful and hearty stir-fry brings together savoury minced beef, tender-crisp broccoli, and vibrant egg noodles coated in a rich, aromatic sauce. Ingredients
  

For the Stir-fry:

  • 200 grams ground beef
  • 400 grams fresh or pre-cooked egg noodles
  • 200 grams broccoli
  • 75 grams shiitake mushrooms
  • 30 grams green onions
  • 2 red chilies
  • 1 tablespoon freshly minced garlic

For the Stir-fry Sauce:

  • 1 teaspoon mushroom powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Sriracha hot sauce

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Stir-fry Sauce
    In a small bowl, combine the mushroom powder, garlic powder, sesame oil, dark soy sauce, Sriracha, and oyster sauce. Mix well and set aside. If you find the sauce a bit salty for your liking, feel free to add a pinch of sugar to balance it out. Adjust it to suit your taste!
  • Prep the Vegetables
    Slice the shiitake mushrooms thinly, or slice them to your desired thickness.
    Slice the red chilies into rings.
    Cut the green onions into 1-inch pieces.
    Separate the broccoli into small florets, then blanch them in boiling water for 1-2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • Cook
    Heat a splash of oil in a medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
    Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms and stir briefly. Add the ground beef and stir-fry until lightly browned.
    Pour in ⅓ of the prepared sauce and mix to coat the beef and mushrooms evenly.
    Add the egg noodles to the skillet, followed by another ⅓ of the prepared sauce. Toss until the noodles are well coated.
    Add the blanched broccoli, and pour in the remaining sauce. Add the sliced chilies and stir everything together, cooking until the broccoli is tender yet crunchy.
    Turn off the heat, add the green onions, and give it a final quick stir.
  • Serve
    Serve your Minced Beef with Broccoli Noodles immediately while hot. Enjoy!
